East Coast recently completed inspection of a dry pipe sprinkler system.
During trip test unable to trip the dry pipe system because of foreign material
causing pipe blockage. Initially pipe blockage was notice in the inspectors
test pipe. After a thorough inspection, majority of the pipe including mains,
branch lines showed signs of foreign material in the pipe.

We have proposed to owner to flush sprinkler system and also replace ¾" branch
line pipe.

Is their a standard reference that requires removal of 3/4" sprinkler pipe with
larger diameter pipe (1") when the sprinkler pipe is flushed?
