If the area is filled with Insul it does not require sprinkler protection
per 13, so per the attached from Blazemaster you can use CPVC.
"CPVC pipe and fittings are not intended to be installed in combustible
concealed spaces where sprinklers are required by ANSI/NFPA 13, 13R, or 13D
as applicable."
"CPVC pipe and fittings are intended for use in areas where the maximum
ambient temperature does not exceed 150°F. If the ambient temperature is
expected to exceed this limitation, refer to the manufacturer's installation
instructions for additional information on methods to reduce the pipe
exposure temperatures. These pipe and fittings are not intended to be
installed in outdoor applications."
This would be similar to installing CPVC in a flat roof made of TJI's, and
filled with Insul.

Subject: CPVC in Combustible Space with Insulation
I have a situation with a "stair tower" that requires two sprinklers at the
top level. This is a 13 project using CPVC in most places. My question
is,
can I use CPVC at the top of this stair tower which is combustible
construction (trusses) but is filled completely w/ noncombustible
insulation? I have searched the CPVC data and I don't think that I can,
but
it would be easier then transitioning to steel.
Thank you,
