That might be hard to prove. We had a fire here locally last week where a pile of compost self-ignited, no outside ignition source. Sometimes the process of decay generates enough heat within the pile to ignite some of the material. Once it starts it just keeps growing.

There was some open gap below the partition. In the third party's area, work was carried out to remove steel pipes installed on that partition on the other side using a cutting disk. The material that was on the floor was compost. I found a layer of compost that penetrated below the partition that was actually below the storage. We need to prove that sparking from the disk cutting operation could ignite compost and start the fire on the other side where cartons were stored very closed to the partition. It is also possible that the sparks bounced off the floor and ignited the carton directly, but is seem rather difficult to prove it either. Could anybody recommend a suitable lab.?
