Me thinks he is referring to the drain portion of the sprinkler system
and not to a draining system.
CPVC is also not explicitly addressed so some think it does not
require seismic protection and WONG

Every pping system has a particular classification or Importance
Factor. If the drain system, depending on what it's conveying, has
the higher factor then maybe but for normal drains, I can't see it.

Just read an interesting "ruling"
Seismic is to be provided for drain piping as if it were system
piping.
Guess cause it is? Or because it is not excepted?
Maybe a proposal should be written, or was this really the committee's
intent?
