Bob: Using Hydratec calculations, I have found that I need to enter the viscosity in centipose and the density in lb/ft3. The density for glycerine at that temp is about 66.5 lb/ft3. I am not sure what SprinkCAD needs to get the DW calcs to work. If you go to http://www.convertunits.com/info/centipose it gives you some different units you can convert centipose to.
Good luck. These DW calcs are so much fun! I've been trying to understand and learn how to go about converting centipoises into lb s/ft2. I have found that glycerine has a viscosity of 48.1 cp @ -4f (-20c) with a 50% solution. The problem is that I have been beating my head against the wall trying to figure out how to convert this into standard units. Does anyone have a formula for dummies so that a dummy can understand it?
