I have a local FDP that has fire pumper trucks rated for 150PSI at 1500GPM. A)What is the best way to determine the shutoff head for the pump? NFPA 20 - 140% of rated? I have a manual dry standpipe flowing 1000 GPM so I could use some higher pressure to avoid using 6" pipe and would like to find out the pressure available at 1000gpm. Normally I would input 150static/149residual/1500gpm in my calcs but they are not working without some 6" pipe and of course, it was only estimated with 4". B)For manual standpipes, the 175PSI maximum static pressure still applies correct? Thanks, Dewayne _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
