In one jurisdiction where we work, the fire dept pumps into the FDC as part of the final inspection. I haven't seen any issues yet from the standard hanger spacing or glued fittings.

Are there water hammer issues? Can the glued fittings handle it? Any additional restraint required? The listing issue may be one thing, but the actual installation may have some unforeseen consequences.
