Recently we discovered several valves from Traverse City. We could not locate parts from any of our sources so we checked with the water distict. They told us to be careful of the packings from those valves because of Asbestos. The verdict was that as far as they knew all of those valves had it.

Made by Traverse City Iron Works. Did all valves from that era contain asbestos in the packing material? Does anyone know what size packing to use to re-pack?
