Two main points. First, the 5 yr inspection is performed on two and ONLY two points (one CM and one BL). Second, one is not expected to knock a hole in a hard ceiling in order to inspect an item. There are plenty of rejected proposals in the past ROP/ROC's that attempted to require checking above such ceilings. The best indication though is the recent ROP where a proposal was accepted to not require said 5 yr inspection when piping is inaccessible nor for 13R CPVC where flushing connections are not required. Another proposal also excluded all CPVC system from the inspection.
The ROP is now available. Comment closing date is 9/4/09 Roland On Jul 15, 2009, at 8:48 AM, Jim Johnston wrote: > Todd, > I am not aware of any either. This brings up a good question > though.
