6.3.6.2 Pipe or tube listed for light hazard occupancies shall be permitted to be installed in ordinary hazard rooms of otherwise light hazard occupancies where the room does not exceed 400 ft2 (37 m2).
11.1.5.2 Systems with Multiple Hazard Classifications. (3)*For systems with multiple hazard classifications where the higher classification only lies within single rooms less than or equal to 400 ft2 (37.2 m2) in area with no such rooms adjacent, the water supply requirements for the principal occupancy shall be used for the remainder of the system. (There is a similar section in chapter 12) A.11.1.5.2(3) When a light hazard occupancy, such as a school, contains separate ordinary hazard rooms no more than 400 ft2 (37.2 m2), the hose stream allowance and water supply duration would be that required for a light hazard occupancy. (There is a similar section in chapter12 appendix A) I think these are what your salesman is thinking of, it is not related to head spacing. Thom McMahon, SET Firetech, Inc. 2560 Copper Ridge Dr P.O. Anyone here of this?
