This is a STD. spec. that may help you with listed alternatives for Flex flange or coupling or differing materials. Thom McMahon, SET Firetech, Inc. 2560 Copper Ridge Dr P.O. I am currently designing a Vertical Turbine fire pump, this is going to set in a 42" dia. x 16' deep FRP wet well, this is being supplied from a 15,000 gallon buried FRP tank. The tank mfg calls for a flexible coupling at the point the underground piping connects to both the wet well and the tank. I am assuming (yea I know) that they don't mean groove flexible couplings. I remember using some corrugated flex couplings on a similar wet well situation on one of my first jobs (about 30 years ago) but I can't seem to find anything like that now. I don't want to use the Metraflex because of the friction loss. The wet well is gravity fed through 50' +/- 6" DI cl 52.
