Don, This is old and archaic thinking.
The object is not to burn the building down in a nice, even, controlled manner. The object is to get ahead of the heat curve and stop the fire. Just downloaded some of my 2010 standards yesterday and noticed the above requirement (7.1.4) (or anywhere else I can find), does not exist in 2010. In the past several years this has been a major issue between city services, building owners and fire protection types while considering the arrangement of the underground supplies, and has caused a lot of easements to be granted on private property. Is this no longer a consideration or has it just moved, to where? Thanks, Don Lowry _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
