War stories now. Changing WW II heads at the logistics center at Fort Lewis. Quarter mile long buildings used for everything from parachute rigging (big tall cupola and long, long tables in that one), to storing about forty 90mm mountain howitzers, to complete restorations of Abrams tanks. While in the small arms repair portion of one we found a hatch that led to a tunnel that led to an underground shooting range (presumably for testing said repaired weapons) that the guys thee didn't know about. They were happy with our discovery. I think not necessarily for testing purposes but more for recreation--underground small arms range and hide-out tiki lounge would be my guess, or at least my vote if I were one of them. Oh, and by the way, the UG was sprinklered, and I'd like to say to OH III to keep it within the original topic, but, alas, I don't really know.
