Yep, the only issue is the beams. Really it's a code issue not even
performance issue. Rooms are about 10x10. Arguably with sidewalls at the peak
it's better than ssu 3' down. Both being 12" (11")deflector and no obstruction
to spray.

For slopes greater than 2:12 the sidewall is to be located at the high
point.
Are you able to do this?

Subject: Sidewalls under non-smooth clg?

Got a 4:12 pitch ceiling in a bunch of office spaces on the outer ring of a
wood frame building. The ceiling is the underside of the roof so there is
no attic over the offices. There's a cold attic adjacent in theory we could
use dry side walls at a 4:12 angle to cover the space. This is what the
Arch wants. The center portion is a flat ceiling with attic above. But the
problem is there is 5" deep beams about 3' oc running parallel to the slope.
So it's not a smooth ceiling. And with the beams I think its obstructed
construction, still mulling that over 'cuz they are only 5" deep. I think
it's clear just looking for acceptance within myself. Anybody know of a
dry side wall that can be used under either an obstructed clg or a non
smooth clg?
