I did check 99 and quoted it below so I get other interpretation. I only
referenced 21 in 13 because it was the only reference to hyperbaric chambers
and that was for A type, I have B type so I was asking since I have B type
would the room be protected per light hazard as shown in 5.2 "hospitals" of
NFPA 13

Remember - Since you are quoting Chapter 21 of NFPA 13 all NFPA 13's
technical committee is allowed to do by the Standards Council is to copy
the information word for word from NFPA 99. You might want to see what
NFPA 99 states to see if it offers more information.

Subject: Hyperbaric Chamber/Chamber rooms

I have a newly renovated building; in this building is a 22x18
hyperbaric
chamber room. This room has two single hyperbaric chambers. According to
NFPA 99 20.1.5.2, these would be Class B chambers (correct me if I'm
wrong).
Per 20.2.6 Class B & C chambers do not require a fire suppression
system.
Per 20.2.1.3 "The room or rooms housing Class B & Class C chambers shall
be
afforded sprinkler protection in accordance with 20.2.1.2." (That's the
first time I have seen it put like that), 20.1.2 "A hydraulically
calculated
automatic wet pipe sprinkler system meeting the requirements of NFPA 13
shall be installed in the room housing a Class A chamber and in any
ancillary equipment rooms."

So if I interpret that correctly we need a wet type system in the room
only.
Now 13 only calls out A type chambers (21.19) so would the system need
to be
light hazard per 5.2 Hospitals? Or is there other direction for this
room
I'm missing?
