I checked the archives and do not see a response to Forest's post. Does anyone know of a lab to test for sodium silicate?
Thanks! Bobby McCullough [email protected] Testing lab for sodium silicate? Forest Wilson Sun, 26 Apr 2009 20:34:26 -0700 Does anyone know where I can send a sample to be tested? I think this system may contain sodium silicate. We pulled an existing 1X1/2 Rc and there is a deposit about 1/2 in thick, hard as a rock. It would certainly not allow the sprinkler to operate. We also found a thick, white liquid (paste in texture) inside another rc. System is on city water, 20 years old. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
