Brad? Are you serious?? Why do you need a fitter to tell you the volume of a fixed length of pipe? 100 Lf of 2" sch 40 = 18.42 gallons 100 Lf of 1" sch 40 = 4.82 gallons Do the math! Roughly to equal the volume in 12" of 2" sch. 40 would require about 38'-3" of 1" pipe. That is equivalent. If you want to install 40'-0" x 1" drum drips you can prove mathematically that they are of "Equivalent" volume.

Was there a pump-no pump? Any thinking back, thoughts or theories you have will be greatly appreciated. 2) I am worried about the 'or equivalent' part of drum drips in 13, but I do not have access to a shop. Will someone test a 1x4-0 against the 2x1-0 shown in 13? It could be that 1x0-6 at the bottom works but 1x1-6 does not, due to some kind of reverse capillarity when the length exeeds 10 times the diameter or something. If 1" does not work all the way up, 13 should be changed to something like Minimum Diameter = 2", Minimum Capacity = .174 gallons. 3) Send me a whiff of cutting oil- I have not had one for 8 years and I miss it. Thanks for your time. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
