It also helps if you include the year of 13 your question ref. 14.4.4.4.5
doesn't exist in 2007 or 2010, it saves a lot of extra leg work for those of
us that have put 2002 on the shelf.

Trevor,

You nailed it!
I am using TSHC, AHJ is requiring, will try your suggestions, and will
always include a subject in post.

Thanks to all.

Subject: Re: Calculation Order

Anderson,

Are you using Simple Hydraulic Calculator and have an AHJ questioning -Q
in pipe? The negative sign indicates direction. To please this AHJ,
select menu item "Reports" -> "Options" and in the lower right of the
dialog, select "group pipe by path". Then print a new report.

This option reorders pipe in the report from the most remote heads to
the source and flip Q's accordingly. If this is a gridded system you may
still encouter -Q's but that's unavoidable sometimes if the report is
going to indicate direction of flow accurately.

If this isn't your problem then please excuse my assumptions but I hope
I've helped you out. Whether you choose to enter piping from source to
remote area (like I do) or from remote area to source, calculations will
be the same. Have a great day!
