I'm a little confused this morning, nothing new. With regard to the installation of pipe hangers: 9.2.1.2 allows the pipe to hang from the structure or storage racks in accordance with applicable provisions of 9.2 & 9.3. In the 2007 edition section 9.2.1.3.1 was added saying the sprinkler pipe be substantially supported from the structure..
I've read & re-read and would like input on what the majority interprets this to say. If I'm installing sprinkler pipe in storage racks can I hang from the racks or not?
