Have y'all seen Viking's Micblast? Just curious if these are
different/easier/better? If I'm not mistaken they have two types - one as
described below that fills with air then purges and refills and one that
will fill with nitrogen as a high pressure cylinder would. I believe I am
correct on the choices, forgive me if I am wrong.

We bought ours from these guys: http://www.fpscmi.com/
The big challenge I think is that a straight generator isn't really capable
of doing this job while being reasonably sized, the way their system works
is that it fills the system with regular air (in part this is required
because of the NFPA mandated minimum system filling times), then purges and
refills over time with concentrated nitrogen which displaces the oxygen.
Our systems are under 3% once the cycling finishes. Even so the Ingersol
compressors are monsters and the systems weren't cheap...

Subject: N2 Generator

Has anyone designed and installed a nitrogen generator for a dry system? I
have some questions regarding listing, sizing, flow rate and pressure.

I'm wondering if the requirements are similar to air compressors with those
above parameters in particular, although I don't see a definitive yes or no
in the standard (2007 here). So I guess maybe I'm looking for
opinions/advice. I'm hoping to be replacing that old system I posted about
a month ago suspect of being effected by MIC. Planning to have some lab
work done beforehand to ascertain requirements.
