When we have multiple landings between floors the location of the standpipe
often dictates which landing is used. We are not going to jog the standpipe
back and forth to pick up every landing, it's just not necessary.

Subject: Hose Valves

Esteemed Colleagues,

NFPA 14 (2003, Edition) 7.3.2 (1) Class I Standpipe Locations.

Tells me I need a hose valve at each intermediate landing in every required
stairway. Simple enough.

What if I have 2 intermediate landings between floors? Do I need a hose valve
at each?

Thanks,

David Autry
