Below was a checklist I got from one AHJ, FWIW.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR REVIEW OF FIRE PUMP INSTALLATIONS

A set of drawings and pump information should be provided by the installing
contractor as specified in NFPA 20. The submitted set should include:

a. Size and rating of the pump and suction supply
b. Plan & section views of the overall pump installation, pump house or
room, and suction source.
c. Layout showing the pump, piping, valving, jockey pump, suction supply,
and connection to the underground main etc.
d. Diagram showing the internal and external wiring of the controller,
including a sequence of operation
e. For electric pumps, a drawing showing the physical arrangement of power
supply feeding it including a one line diagram
f. For diesel driven pumps, a layout of the fuel supply including the size
and location of tank, fuel piping arrangement, etc.
g. If the pump takes suction from a storage tank provide details of the
tank heating system and corrosion protection plan.

A copy of the bill of equipment and manufacturer product information sheets
with make, model, type, and number of each component in the system should be
provided. All equipment used must be either UL listed or FM approved.

We will retain one set of drawings and the manufacturer's information supplied
for our use in field review of the finished system.

Seems as though there are no documentation requirements in NFPA 20 (like NFPA
13, Chapter 22) when it comes to submittals and acceptance test results. Am I
missing the obvious?
