Ummm ... I don't think that's the intent of a 13R design. Sounds more
like three 13D or IRC systems in a row. And I think you have a
plumbing code issue: you can't have an FDC that's backfed to each of
three systems that are in turn connected to domestic water unless you
limit your inlet pressure to 80psi and/or put a BFP on each of the
sprinkler connections. Dude, just say no to this set up.

The foregoing is my opinion only and does not necessarily represent the
opinion or intent of the NFPA 13D/13R Technical Committee on Residential
Sprinkler Systems.

Subject: 13R FDC with multiple risers

I am designed a 13R system to be retrofitted into a 3 family house (all
3 units are 1st floor only). Each unit has an 1-1/2" feed for domestic
water, to which the sprinkler risers will be connected. I will end up
with 3 risers, one for each unit. Any thoughts on how to handle the FDC?
A pit on the line with a check and free standing FDC is impractical.
Individual FDCs seem like overkill. There is no real way to interconnect
the systems due to building configuration.
