Victaulic makes a style 994 flanged adapter (their data sheet 19.04) for HDPE 
pipe that is FM approved.

That presumes the pipe itself can be exposed. Does this type of pipe fit in the 
list of generic piping that does not require a listing? If not it MUST
(Shall) be installed according to it's listing. If the listing does not allow 
up to 24" of exposure, or if it limits exposure in some way, then the listing 
trumps the standard reference.
