Pleasent Good Morning to All:

So, we have had the quarterly sprinkler inspection contract at a bank
location (northern New Mexico) for the better part of three years. Bank built
in
2002. Our inspector is retired local/city Fire Marshal and former State Fire
Marshal - he has all of the training and sprinkler ITM certificates that
one would like to see in a sprinkler system inspector.

The Fire Extinguisher tech (colleague of ours) was performing annual
extinguisher inspection/service (yesterday 9/9/13) and noticed there were no
sprinklers in the drive-thru tellers enclosure - oh, and no sprinklers under
the
drive-thru canopy. He informs the bank manager of this 'condition'. So what
does the manager reply? Oh - let's get that taken care of immediately.

Our friend the fire extinguisher tech brought the A&E drawings to our
office and directed us to contact the facilities engineer to get started with
design. Guess he wasn't too nervous about getting sued for pointing out design
'deficiency' from more than 10 years ago - he even contacted the local Fire
Marshal to alert him the work would be forthcoming...Just reporting the
facts, y'all.

Regards to all-

Jerry
