Ron, Certain jurisdictions in NJ used to require the engraved dual color plastic placards like you're talking about, and they added so much extra info, the placard was the same size as a regular sheet of paper. My main concern with doing this is the AHJs. I've asked a few local people, and they wouldn't give me a straight answer for some reason.
