I need some clarification on figure 8.6.5.1.2(b) obstructions against a wall which limits the soffit/obstruction to 30" in order to use the equation. So for soffits/obstructions against walls over 30" (and under 4') would you use figure 8.6.5.1.2(a) or would a sprinkler be required underneath it?
