It is basically a modified projectile problem, I believe. You need to know launch velocity, account for gravitational effects, and you need to know angle of launch, along with mass of "projectile". If you come with all of those variables, you should be able to determine your answer.

How high it could reach is not as important as how high it could reach and still do an effective job of firefighting.
