If there is an 8" or deeper lintel it creates a separate compartment so in your case even a shower stall compartmented off would reduce the compartments to both under the maximum allowed. Of course, hereabouts, if the fixtures are fiberglass some AHJs think some potpourri and a candle can light up the the full of water tub or the water cooled stall enough for it to turn into an inferno.
