I've received some comments on my plans regarding the underground fire service I've shown for reference. The Fire Marshal is asking me to add note to my plans that the fire service will need to be submitted and approved by a C-16 (California Fires Sprinkler Contractor Lic.) prior to the sprinkler approval. While I understand the note, I question the specifics of the "C-16". Do civil eng. have a sprinkler contractors lic. (at least in California)?
