All - I'm looking at a closed head foam/water design at the moment, 2016
edition of 409, Group II hangar - utilizing section 7.6 for the closed head
foam/water system via section 7.1.1(4). Section 7.7 goes into detection and
actuation. Detection is being provided via waterflow as allowed by 7.7.2. My
question involved manual activation stations. In this instance, where only a
closed head foam/water system is provided, there appears to be no means of
manual activation given you are relying solely on sprinkler activation and have
no ability to put a solution to the fire other than sprinkler RTI. Is this in
direct conflict with 7.7.5 requiring manual activation stations or have I
completely missed something?

Thank you in advance.
