The statement about needing ≥K8 at ≥0.20 density and ≥K11.2 at ≥0.34 density is in Chapter 12 of the 2016 edition. Chapter 12 is for storage. So, you could extra hazard grp II and use K8 sprinklers because it is not storage. As Roland Huggins would always remind me. LOCATION MATTERS. So, if your project is storage, that comes in to plan in the General Requirements for Storage section. If it is not storage, then those sections don’t apply.
