NFPA 24 2019: 5.9.5.7
Where a remote fire department connection services multiple buildings,
structures, or locations, a sign shall be provided indicating the buildings,
structures, or locations served.

I don't know that it's in there anymore, didn't find it with a quick look, but
there used to be a diagrammatic drawing of a "campus" fire loop with remote FDC
as well somewhere in 13 or 24 I believe.

Subject: [Sprinklerforum] FDC Serving Multiple Buildings

Is there any code requirement prohibiting a single FDC from serving multiple
buildings on a site or campus? Or, better yet, is there a code reference that
specifically allows this arrangement? We've done it quite a few times, but now

We've done it quite a few times, but now I've got a plan reviewer on a specific
project stating that each of the buildings requires it's own FDC. He said we
can file an appeal to use a single FDC, but I'm not sure what code section we
would be appealing.
