What’s going to be going in under the canopy?  How big is it?  Being freestanding has no bearing on the sprinkler requirement.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [Sprinklerforum] Building Separations

GC is asking if a canopy that is not attached to the building can have sprinklers omitted. I swear I saw somewhere if it was a free standing cover it didn’t need sprinklers but now that I need it I can’t find it.

Thank you,
