If you want, try in a Spyder console:

from spyderlib.baseconfig import base_conf_path
base_conf_path()

This should return the directory that Spyder is using to save the 
spyder.ini file.

Just take a quick look at it before grafting, there are a few entries which 
might have to be changed, i.e. locations of system files.
