Case sensitive compare

Is there a SQL function which will do a case sensitive compare between a DB value and a passed in value (CFMX)? I don't want to set the entire server to case sensitive. I just need it for a single query.

I'm doing the case compare outside the query at the moment but I want it as tight as possible.
