You can do case sensitive compare on SQL SERVER, even if the collation is
not case-sensitive:

We are using this:

SELECT     *
FROM       table
WHERE     (CAST(column AS varbinary(12)) = CAST('#comparevalue#' AS
varbinary(12)))

This should work for you, at least in SQL SERVER 7.0 and 2000
