I do the same thing:

  newtable = Table(name,
                         meta,
                         *props,
                         autoload=True
                         )

where props = ColumnCollection(Column('id',Integer,primary_key=True))

SQLAlchemy overwrites the autoloaded info with the passed-in column info.
