One interesting example is Redshift, which used to be in the form of: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/redshift-sqlalchemy then changed: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/sqlalchemy-redshift As you mentioned about the link in sqlalchemy doc, most seem to follow sqlachemy-<db name>, though. Snowflake DB already has DB API package, so one option could have been include SQLAlchemy dialect. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/snowflake-connector-python/ but I have not done so, because I want to separate the release cycles of DB API and dialect. So far snowflake-sqlalchemy is used in dev and tests, so I'll go with this if there is concern. Thanks!
