Something like MYSQLCC. I know there is a tool with almost the same
name for sqlite, but last time I checked it didn't seem to be
compilable under Linux (ie I didn't find the usual configure.sh,
Makefile, and so on in the tarball). Any pointers?

Just to give some context, I am looking for a MS Access kind of
functionality suitable for the non profit RULE project for schools and
NGOs. SQLite looks great because it requires installing less stuff
than MySQL, not running a server, etc.. but it lacks (as far as I know
today, of course) a standalone (= no web) GUI interface for Linux.

Thank you in advance for any feedback
