I have none to suggest because I don't know what exactly you are looking for... and I am sure with 5 minutes at Google you can find more than I can.
What is your budget? What are your bandwidth requirements?
If you were using Linode, chances are you are looking for a VPS solution instead of "my ISP where I host my home website and email" information.
There are many VPS providers, but Linode seems to be the most cost-effective. Of course, as you suggested, Chris Aker of Linode might just be on a skiing vacation... or, maybe he is trying to grapple with Oracle or SQL Server issues (in which case, he needs to migrate his business to SQLite).
Another solution would be to set up your own cheap box from your house (if you have DSL/Cable) and use DynDNS (that was suggested). I have used DynDNS on and off and have found them to be quite good. Of course, this would be possible only if you had a relatively low bandwidth requirement.
Another possibility would be Sourceforge. I am not sure if you/SQLite are amenable to that, but it seems like it would be a possibility.
