Ah, OK, I see what you mean. Probably quite hard, as not only has the page layer changed (to implement the increased concurrency and different page sizes), but also the btree layer has changed to support manifest typing and blobs, plus changes to the btree structurs itself etc, etc. Compare to the SQLite 2.x migration, where the page layer has besically been unchanged since 2.1, and most changes being at layers above the btree. I couldn't point you to any relevent threads or archives, except the source itself.
