This enhancement did not make the cutoff for 3.25.0. But as 3.25.0 is now out, I have started the next release cycle and you can find this enhancement on the latest trunk version of SQLite. You'll need to grab a tarball (or clone the Fossil repository) and compile it yourself. If you can, please do this and try out the code and let me know whether or not it works, that will be appreciated. -- D.
