That's not the case with external CSS file(s). The browser blocks until the external css file is loaded. Nothing is rendered until that time. Might you be refering to when images are loaded and cause layout to shift? If the CSS does not load due to HTTP error, then I guess it's possible that the page will be rendered without it, but I don't know for sure what happens in that case. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
