Ok, I have no experience with RPi and LMS, I only have built KODI
clients with RPis.

Imho not that much. RPi 1 is able to run a KODI installation smoothly,

Back to the OP's question: Why OSMC? Because of the fancy skin? Or do
you plan to watch/stream video with your RPi, too? If so, take a look at
LibreELEC. I think it performs better on a RPi 1.
Or maybe even Max2Play? Isn't that able to install LMS _and_ KODI on a
single RPi?
