Putty or WinSCP - you need to look at the permissions and ownership of
the MP3 files you put in share/Multimedia and work out why LMS can't see
them. Putty or WinSCP can then put them right for you,

Public is read/write to any known samba user which could include kids on
your network if you were sharing files with them i.e. Open to accidental
change

Multimedia is by default read to everyone but write to admin only

(I am talking standard QNAP here)
