With some more attention paid to what's going on, I noticed that tracks which re-buffer appear to be 24-bit audio files. I've now done more testing and *all* 24-bit audio files I've tested re-buffer. I think my perception that the re-buffering was intermittent was because I often use shuffled playlists so the 24-bit files were intermixed. Continuing to investigate but wanted to post this should anyone find it useful.
