I run LMS in my Vortexbox which is plugged directly into my modem. I stream the music files through my Squeezebox which is connected direct to my Denon AVR in the lounge room by optical cable (I hope that's the system info you mean).
I'm more interested in what server hardware you're using, what OS version, LMS version, server.log file etc.
