You swapped threads - I was following my reply which was to another thread (lucky I spotted it) - I did not read the preceding stuff in this thread which may or may not be relevant.
There is something else going on and it is not just to do with s32le vs s32be as the file you sent is the same as ffmpeg. There is something else different that is affecting the scanning by the Audio::Scan module and the decode by faad. I'm guessing it is only specific to HD Alac (i.e. sample size more than 16 bit) > > Stream #0:0(und): Audio: alac (alac / 0x63616C61), 96000 Hz, stereo, > s32p (24 bit), 2789 kb/s (default) > If you want to progress, I need a sample file of a working 24 bit alac file so that it can be compared to same file after conversion into alac by ffmpeg. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102059 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
