In the meantime I had other random behaviour, even when just playing FLACs. Sometimes it would just skip randomly to the next track. Or it would stop playing. And on one occasion the music suddenly had huge distortion. So am just back from buying a spare PSU. First tests look good. Wiggling the plug no longer causes the unit to reboot, and so far the unit plays back fine. Will do some more extensive tests later, incl. the radio streams where it all started with.
